I don't need to clean my room today, I'd rather plant a tree
When our guests at Botanique Hotel Prague choose to skip room cleaning, they help us reduce our use of water, energy and cleaning products. We use part of the resulting savings to support tree planting and care for the environment.
Simply hang the sign on your door handle. This seemingly small choice has a tangible impact – approximately every four skipped room cleanings mean one newly planted tree.
In 2025, for example, our guests skipped room cleaning more than 9,400 times. Each spring, our employees come together to plant trees as part of a hotel-wide team-building event. Through our own efforts alone, we have already planted 1,500 trees in areas where they help restore biodiversity and retain water in the landscape. We also donate funds to organisations such as Zasaď život, which specialise in planting trees throughout the Czech Republic and caring for them over the long term.
